Sports mouthguards are resilient covers that are worn over your teeth to protect your mouth and surrounding areas from sports-related impact. Although they are used in obvious contact sports such as football, karate and boxing, they are also used in so called “non-contact” sports such as netball, soccer, gymnastics, skating, and hockey to help prevent mouth injuries.
The most common sports injuries that mouthguards can prevent are lacerations of the lips, broken or knocked out teeth, jaw fractures, damage to the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and concussions.
At White Rabbit Dental, we make custom-fitted sports mouthguards that provide ultimate comfort and protection. Our mouthguards are made with non-toxic, BPA and phthalate-free materials that can be finished in a range of colours or patterns for a truly unique smile, ready to take on your sport of choice.

Occlusal Splints – sometimes called nightguards – help protect your teeth and jaw joints from the effects of bruxism.
Bruxism is the term used to describe involuntary teeth grinding. Many people brux during their sleep and are unaware they are doing it. Waking with jaw pain or a headache is one sign that you brux during the night and your sleep is not as restful as it could be.
The Temporo-Mandibular Joints connect the lower jaw to the skull, just in front of each ear. Bruxing while you sleep can lead to pain in these joints as well as jaw stiffness, headaches, earaches, or tinnitus.
Like sports mouthguards, occlusal splints are custom-made for a precise fit. Using digital scanning technology, we take an impression of your upper and lower teeth. These impressions are then used to create a 3D model so that we can design your occlusal splint to match your unique teeth and bite profile.
An occlusal splint works while you sleep so that you can wake feeling more refreshed and with less jaw tension.
